Today, we’re focusing on a piece from Internal Landscapes – An Abstract Perspective on Mercurial Topographies. The intention of this piece and series overall is to hold space to inspire and encourage viewers to check-in with themselves. Asking questions, like, ‘What’s the landscape or terrain looking like today?’, ‘How high is the river?’, ‘How fast is the current?’ or another favorite, ‘What’s the forecast?’.
What I like about each of these questions is that they allow for constant, abrupt, sudden, layered and volatile change. It serves as a reminder that it’s healthy to go through various states throughout the hour, day, and week. Allows for multiple truths to be true all at once, simultaneously, dependent, and independent of one another.
