Jakia Fuller is considered a creative force by her community, peers, and colleagues. She is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, writer, curator, and podcaster living and working in Albuquerque, NM, with roots in Detroit, MI. In her curatorial practice, Fuller explores the multifaceted and layered landscapes we inhabit. With a creative-centric ethos, she collaborates with creatives to intentionally craft experiences, moments, and spaces. These offer audiences rare moments of stillness, meditation, and reflection. Within her exhibitions, Fuller shares insightful, accessible prompts, Moments of Reflection, for audiences to consider. She aims to welcome more people into these important conversations by creating and cultivating essential pauses amid the hectic pace of modern life. This allows us to slow down and be present with our thoughts, emotions, and ways of moving through the world.
