Did you know that to date there have only been 5 Black women to ever have served in Congress as Senators? Wild right?! And currently two of the Senators are serving during the same time: Angela D. Alsobrooks, Senator of Maryland and Lisa Blunt Rochester, Senator of Delaware, which is a historic first! The PBS Newshour covered this histor event, I’ve included the interview here and below.
